Importing Shots

Guided Import

If you're new to Capturebot, or if you want a single-step import, Guided Import is the best place to start. It's available from File > Guided Import, which will open the importer. From there you can specify your Capture and Output folders, an option test folder name, and more. You can read more about all of the main settings in Session Setup.

Changing Settings

You can always return to Guided Import to make changes to your session settings without importing the shotlist again.

Rather that manually defining the capture and output patterns you can select from several presets. As you change the capture pattern the table below will update showing the folder its found. At the bottom select the columns which you'd like to use as the shot name and set list.

Guided Import supports one output from a single process recipe, selecting one of the presets will update a special Output Format. When using a recipe that processes into a subfolder that subfolder can be entered in the Recipe Name text field, though it doesn't necessarily need to be the name of the process recipe in Capture One.

When everything looks right click Import to add the shots to your shotlist.

Manually Adding Shots

New shots can be added by clicking the + button at the bottom of the sidebar. Once added double-click on the shot to rename it.

Importing from a Text Files

If you have a list of shot names these can be imported from a text file. The file should have one name per line and will be imported without any processing.

Importing from the Capture Folder

For users who have already set their session up and know their matching pattern works a shotlist can be imported from the capture folder. In practice this functions like the bottom half of Guided Import, presenting a table of folder names. At the bottom select the columns which you'd like to use as the shot name and set list.
