ScreeningRoom Permissions

In order for ScreeningRoom to do its job it needs permission to record your screen. The first time you run the app macOS should present you with a prompt asking you to grant ScreeningRoom access.

Missing Prompts

Recent versions of macOS sometimes don't present the initial prompt, so ScreeningRoom must be manually granted permission. This is a known issue that is being looked into.

Screen Recording Prompt

Click the button to open System Settings and then enable the toggle next to ScreeningRoom. You'll be asked to quit and reopen ScreeningRoom, but it isn't necessary to do so.

Screens Aren't Visible

Desktop Only

In the case ScreeningRoom doesn't have permission to record your screen it will fallback to showing only your desktop wallpaper, like in the screenshot above. In this case simply launch System Settings, navigate to Privacy & Security, and then Screen & System Audio Recording. Enable the toggle next to ScreeningRoom, or if it isn't in the list use the + to add ScreeningRoom manually.
